On September 26, the 2025 Shanghai Souvenir Certification Ceremony and the launch event for the Shanghai 3·15 Golden Autumn Shopping Festival were successfully held. The “Wildflowers of the Fields” series—the world's first high-performance bio-based fountain pen/ballpoint pen co-developed by Shanghai Sipeng Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sipeng Technology”) and Hero Group—stood out among hundreds of outstanding products with its unique design philosophy and technological innovation, winning the “Shanghai Souvenir” award.
The selection process for Shanghai Souvenirs commenced in May 2025. From 334 outstanding products, the best of the best were chosen, resulting in 80 products being ultimately selected for the 2025 Shanghai Souvenirs list.
The preliminary evaluation round will be conducted in two specialized sessions: Food Products and Cultural & Creative Goods. Experts will conduct on-site assessments based on four key dimensions: product quality, user experience, brand culture, and industry influence. In the Food Products session, 93 companies participated with 156 products, with 56 products advancing to the next round. The Cultural & Creative Goods session featured 106 companies competing with 178 products, with 64 products successfully advancing to the second round.
Entering the selection round, evaluation criteria expanded further, placing greater emphasis on consumer feedback and market performance. On one hand, the Shanghai Consumer Council collaborated with Douyin E-commerce to conduct a point-to-point survey on souvenir products among one million consumers across the top 100 cities by GDP. On the other hand, participating products were showcased on the Douyin E-commerce platform, where users could like and purchase them. Based on a comprehensive evaluation of consumer survey scores, Douyin platform likes and sales volume, on-site consumer votes at the Souvenir Lecture Hall, and the top five rankings from the first round, 80 products emerged as finalists to advance to the premium selection round.
As the first commercialized cultural and creative product launched by Sipeng Technology, the bio-based fountain pen/ballpoint pen “Wildflowers of the Fields” underwent three rounds of evaluation in this event. Ultimately standing out from the competition, it secured the title of “Shanghai Souvenir” with a total score ranking 59th, returning home with honors.
