    In the golden autumn of October, the fragrance of osmanthus fills the air. On October 28-29, 2024, the 2024 Academic Annual Conference of the Shanghai Society of Bioengineering and its 30th Anniversary Celebration were grandly held at the Zhongheng Hotel in Shanghai. Dr. Tao Fei, Chairman of Sipeng Technology, was invited to deliver a presentation titled “Smart Metabolic Reprogramming” at the Carbon-Based Biotechnology Innovation and Application Forum on the afternoon of October 28.


    The team possesses extensive expertise in bio-based material modification, having successfully achieved high-performance modifications for various biodegradable plastics. Their advanced modifications—including mechanical enhancement and high thermal conductivity insulation—rank among the industry's leading standards. Products such as high thermal conductivity insulation materials based on polycarbonate have already been successfully industrialized.


    Leveraging the deep original research in synthetic biology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University's State Key Laboratory of Microbial Metabolism, the company is focused on building a matrix of high-performance bio-based materials and negative-carbon smart manufacturing products. The product pipeline will encompass negative-carbon new materials (such as biodegradable plastics synthesized from carbon dioxide via a “one-step” process), polymer monomers, and various high-value compounds.
